Backpacking and Hiking Around Chattanooga

Located at the head of the Tennessee River Gorge and nestled between Lookout and Signal Mountains, Chattanooga is blessed with quick and easy access to hundreds of miles of very scenic trails for backpacking and day hiking. The options are practically unlimited if you’re willing to drive even a couple of hours to the Smokey Mountains or to Big South Fork.
