Why do you run?
Why do you run?: Running helps me to be physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. I can think and problem solve or stop thinking so much and just be. I can pray, cry, sing, or just run. It takes me places I’ve never been before. It allows me to set goals and try to reach them. I think running helps me to be the best version of myself 🙂
Favorite place to run:
I love to run pretty much anywhere. I like that running somewhere let’s you see things from a completely different perspective.
Favorite achievement:
Finishing Pinhoti 100.
Toughest moment in a race:
Running through the night, or trying to. Knowing everything would change once the sun came up.
Goals for 2017:
I’m excited to see what running will be like as a mom. I know it will be different training with my little one. I’m looking forward to taking her to some races and just showing her the world outside. I can’t wait to see what it’s like to finish a race and have her there cheering me on.
Race Schedule for 2017:
I plan to focus on some shorter distance races this year as I make my way back in to trail running.
Tips for new runners:
Pick a race/event/goal. Make a training plan. Stick with it. Find some running friends. Have fun and be careful.
(Oh yeah, don’t take yourself too seriously!)
