Join Rock/Creek as we support the fight against area hunger through a food drive occurring at the 2 North Shore shopping complex. From November 1- 19th, participating locations will collect food donations to benefit the Chattanooga Food Bank. On Saturday November 20th at 9am, join area hikers and bikers in a human powered initiative to transport donated canned goods fro, 2 North Shore to the Food Bank.
Rock/Creek’s 2 North Shore Location is participating as a destination for donations and we are also offering a shopping reward to accompany your giving.

11.10.2010- Just before the holiday festivities really kick-off, Chattanoogans will get to experience Cranksgiving…a food drive with a twist. The Cranksgiving food drive organizers are inviting area hikers and bikers to transport one hundred percent of food donated from 2 North Shore to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank via a seven mile round trip loop.
2 North Shore merchants will be collecting non-perishable food items now through November 19 at select stores throughout the center.
Saturday, November 20 at 9:00 a.m. the seven mile roundtrip human powered ride and hike will go to and from 2 North Shore and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. The ride will go over the Wallnut Street Walking Bridge, through downtown, and link directly to the food bank via Chattanooga’s praized River Walk Path. From comfort cruisers to speed demon bicyclists and hikers to walkers, all are welcome to participate. Bring you bike or comfortable hiking shoes and bring personal packs or bags to haul food.
A Pre-Party is planned for Friday, November 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlife Grocery where a ten dollar minimum donation will get you appetizers and New Belgium beer. Even those not able to participate in the bike or hike are invited to attend.
Cranksgiving is sponsored Trek Bicycle Store, Greenlife Grocery, Rock/Creek, 2 North Shore, New Belgium Brewing and Outdoor Chattanooga.
2 North Shore is located at 301 Manufacturers Road in Chattanooga just across the river from downtown.
