Preliminary results from the 2012 Southern 6k

Final, official results for this one are still being sorted out, but in the meantime we’re able to publish the podium results. Congratulations to Jake Bradley — who sets the CR for the new course to match his CR on the old course — and Kimberly Humphries, both of whom followed up 2011 Southern 6k victories with a repeat in 2012!


Overall top finishers:

  1. Jacob Bradley (Ringgold, GA) – 22:30
  2. Calvin Cofield (Chattanooga, TN) – 22:31
  3. Seth Ruhling (Apison, TN) & Josh Holloway (Winterville, GA) – 23:05 (tie)

Female top finishers:

  1. Kimberly Humphries (Red Bank, TN) – 29:42
  2. Shannon Wheeler DeBoef (Hixson, TN) – 31:48
  3. Janis Kelman (Chattanooga, TN) – 32:30

Male Masters top finishers:

  1. Tom Sell (Chattanooga, TN) – 26:00
  2. Carlton Vollberg (Chattanooga, TN) – 31:17
  3. Tommy Nichols (Rock Spring, GA) – 31:28

Female Masters top finishers:

  1. Connie Petty (Ooltewah, TN) – 33:44
  2. Lisa Anderson (Ooltewah, TN) – 33:49
  3. Regina Hall (Chattanooga, TN) – 42:07

Male Under-18 top finishers:

  1. Zachary McCormick (Chattanooga, TN) – 23:43
  2. Matt Jenkins (Soddy-Daisy, TN) – 24:05
  3. Aaron Lauger (Harrisburg, PA) – 26:47

Female Under-18 top finishers:

  1. Lucy Whitfield (Signal Mountain, TN) – 31:39
  2. Hahna McGrath (McDonald, TN) – 37:27

  2. I think you have the Female Under 18 a little mixed up. Times and places.

    1. I think so too — it looks one one girl was inexplicably set up into the “men’s open” category. We’re waiting on an update from the timing people and will make changes when available.
