As of this morning, we have reached our limit of 450 runners — 250 for the 10.2-miler and 200 for the 6.5-miler — and registration for the 2012 Rock/Creek River Gorge Trail Race is now closed. This means no race-day registration will be available; if you waited too long and missed out, take a look at the other races in the 2012 Salomon Rock/Creek Trail Series… or you’ll have to wait ’til next year!
All details are available at https://www.rockcreek.com/rivergorge.rco, and you can click the “results and photos” tab for all results in the 11-year history of the race. As you may have learned in the past couple of years, the weather in late March can be nasty, so watch the weather forecast and come prepared. Last year, temps were in the 40s, with a cold rain falling throughout the race and lots of water and mud on the course… yet, as I sit here and type this, it’s almost 80 degrees! Plan ahead for the possibility of running in imperfect weather, and be pleasantly surprised if we draw a gorgeous spring morning this year.

With only 10 days remaining before race day, we’re getting excited about this short but classic race on one of our favorite loop trails in the Chattanooga area. Hope to see you there!
