It’s hard to believe it’s that time already, but the 2012 Salomon Rock/Creek Trail Series will kick off on February 19th with the Southern 6k Trail Race. The Southern 6 is a short, fast, family-friendly event held on the Biology Trail system at Southern Adventist University, now in its fourth year. It’s easily the shortest distance of any of the Salomon Rock/Creek races, and is primarily intended to give new trail runners an opportunity to compete in a fun event, while simultaneously providing funding for SAU’s Outdoor Leadership program to further develop and maintain these trails.
PLEASE NOTE: the course has changed for 2012! Click here for more information about the Southern 6 trail race, including the updated course map, and check out video from the 2010 race below. There’s still room to sign up, and race-day registration will be available.
